At a Board Meeting held on February 5, 2024, Nevada Chess voted unanimously to affirm and support USCF’s efforts to require Safe Play training. The USCF has mandated all TDs must complete the training prior to June 1, 2024 and Nevada Chess encourages all TDs in Nevada to do so as soon as possible. Nevada Chess is proud to announce the date and location for our 2024 State Scholastic Championship Tournament to be held on Saturday March 2, 2024 at Del Sol Academy for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, NV. Del Sol is the same location where we held our successful 2023 State Scholastic. We are striving to make 2024 even better!
This year, we have two new sections for lower-rated and unrated players. The K-5 and K-12 Reserve sections are for players rated Under 300 and Under 600 respectively. Unrated players are also welcome to play in these sections.
