2014 Nevada State Scholastic Individual & Team Chess Championships

Jones Blvd. K-3 & K-5 USCF rated Time control G/30, d5 (6
rounds) K-8 & K-12 USCF rated Time Control (5 rounds) G/30, d5 rounds 1 & 2, G/45, d5 rounds 3, 4 &
5 Individual and Team Trophies will be
awarded! Every player who scores 3 or more
points will win a medal or trophy!
Souvenir for ALL participants. Trophies for top players, biggest
upset and top girl in each section! Cost: Early
Registration $30. postmarked by March 11 Late Registration $40. Received by March 21 On site registration begins at 8:00 a.m. $60. March 22 Players who register after 8:30 a.m. on March 22nd may not be paired in round 1. Open to any Nevada school age resident. e-mail
questions and concerns to: gwinds@lvds.com Round 1 begins at 9:30 a.m. for all grades. Following rounds to commence approximately
15 minutes after previous round is complete. Lunch for players is included in the entry fee. Lunch will be served between
11:30-1:00. One half point bye available per player
if requested in advance.
Specify round. Awards presentation at approximately 5:30 The winner of the K-12 section (if in grade 9 or
higher) will represent the state of Nevada in the Denker
Tournament of High School Champions. The winner of the K-8 section will represent the state
of Nevada in the Barber Tournament of K-8 Champions. The highest scoring girl in the K-12 section will
represent the state of Nevada in the National Girls Invitational Tournament. |
